Eric Doering

Hi, I'm Eric! A Brooklyn, New York based artist predominantly working with oils and gouache. I have been painting and drawing throughout my life, but my passion for art fully solidified in my early twenties and has since become a lifelong practice.

What currently interests me in art is creating work that balances realism with experimentation. I'm drawn to pieces that blend elements of realism, surrealism, cartooning, and abstraction, allowing familiar subjects to take on unexpected qualities. Alongside this, I continue to capture everyday life through plein air painting and quick observational sketches seen in everyday life.
